Welcome to my blog, named after the less-famous elevation of my suburb here in Colorado (the more-famous being 5280, that of Denver). Here you'll find me pondering life and knitting, and everything in between. Thanks for visiting, and drop me a note!

NOTES
Making this in a chunky yarn made the shawl go so fast -- I think I finished it in about 5 days!  If you only have two hanks of Noro Iro, then you could make the shawl with no fringe, as the fringe was comprised of mainly just the third hank.  A few more notes about Charlotte's Web:

A) it's not that hard!
B) it's so worth it!
C) have you seen Christina's most excellent tips
D) I can add one thing to those tips:  over the 16-row repeat, I consider it to be really an 8-RS row repeat.  Thus, I look at it as "I'm on row 4 of 8", because all the WS rows are simply purled.  As such, when you start with the K2, YO, K____, whatever number of stitches are in the blank are one less than the row that you're on.  Thus, if you start K2, YO, K5, you're on the 6th RS row.  In the middle, after the last repeat before your center stitch, you will always have exactly the number of stitches between the repeat and your YO before the center stitch as the number of the row that you're on.
E) when you work the WS rows, it helps to count that there are 8 stitches always between stitch markers -- especially when you first start.
F) give it a shot! It's a fun pattern.

Great Charlotte. I love the colourway you chose and the fact that using a chunkier yarn still looks beautiful!

Love your Charlotte. Did you do five, 16-row repeats??
